Is listing on PeerBear free?
Yes, forever. Submitting a product, getting your permanent listing page, and receiving upvotes and comments costs nothing.
How does ranking work?
Purely by upvotes from signed-in users. There's no algorithm boosting paid listings above organic ones — a Featured placement changes where a product appears visually, never its vote count or leaderboard rank.
What does a Featured placement actually buy?
Visibility for a set number of days — your listing is pinned above the free listings in the directory. It doesn't add upvotes, doesn't affect the leaderboard, and expires automatically.
Do I need an account to upvote or comment?
Yes — accounts keep votes and comments tied to real people rather than bots or throwaway sessions. Signing in is passwordless: we email you a one-time link.
How long does review take before my product goes live?
Submissions default to pending until an admin reviews them. We check that the listing is a real product with a working link — most reviews are quick.
Can I edit my listing after it's live?
Yes, any time, from your dashboard.
What's the backlink badge?
An optional badge you can install on your own site linking back to your PeerBear listing — a way to say "we launched here" and pass a bit of that traffic back.
